5th Place of Interest- Hakone Kowakien Yunessun









Hakone Kowakien Yunessun is a hot springs spa resort and water amusement park located in the spectacular scenic surroundings of Hakone, Japan. It features the traditional Japanese Onsen (hot springs) and water recreation services and activities. Hakone is considered the most popular Onsen (Hot Springs) resort areas in Japan, while Yunessun has known of its high quality hot springs in Hakone.

At Yunessun, there is also providing a wide selection of spa resort services and water attractions for visitors of all ages. From spa facilities in European style, to Onsen in the traditional Japanese style, to fun and wild water recreation amusements, Yunessun has a unique bleaind of relaxation and water recreation for people of all ages. Also located in the resort, there is a very large shopping mall called the Mio Mall, selling local products made from Hakone. The uniqueness of Hakone Kowakien Yunessun is that hot springs resort spa and amusement park is divided into 2 major resort zones. One resort zone is called the Yunessun Spa Resort, where you are required to wear swimsuits as it offers to the public. The other major resort zone is called Mori No Yu, which is more private and isolated and it allow guests the freedom to enjoy hot springs attractions without a swimsuit. Moreover, a wide range of shopping services, restaurants, beauty and massage salons are also can be seen at the resort.

Yunessan has 25 different kind of bath that includes Chocolate, Wine, Dr. Fish and Sake. The Red Wine Spa contains real red wine, in which wine is poured into the bathing waters from a 3.6m tall, gigantic wine bottle and there are performances shows in several times a day. Rarely, Yunessan offers a bathing experience that is only available for a short period of time such as Ramen Spa and Chocolate Spa. The Ramen Spa, were coloured in light, milky brown in order to look like the ramen soup. The bath was pepper-flavoured and contained garlic extract, as well as collagen, which is good for the skin. The Chocolate Spa, contained lots of gooey and chocolate syrup was especially open just before and after Valentine’s Day.

Yunessan Spa Resort operates from 9am to 7pm, March to October and from November to February, 9am to 6pm while for admission fees are rate to Adult, 3500 Yen; Child 1700 Yen. Mori No Yu Spa Resort will be operating from 9am to 9pm in whole year and for admission fees are ranging from Adult, 1800 Yen; Child 900 Yen.

Hakone Kowakien Yunessun is a hot spring spa resort and also a water amusement park that allow both adults and children worth to have fun at the hot spring. So it is highly recommend to spend a day at this hot spring where visitors can relax and enjoy the unique bathing experience after the tiredness.
